The crackdown began on speed racing and dangerous driving in Ontario this week. A new law is in effect and already 41 drivers have had their licenses suspended and vehicles taken away, temporarily. A 7 day storage bill will run about $1000 and fines range between $2000 and $10,000. This will likely send a strong message, or so it is hoped, to those who take the risk and act on their desires to do so.
Over 36 vehicles were impounded by noon Oct 1st, 2007. Some of them were rental vehicles and that will cost an extra week in rental fees. One young fellow started to cry seeing “mom’s” car being towed away.
Looks like they mean business.
Wishing you a safe and pleasant drive today and every day.
